Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 10 is a not-for-profit veterans organization that focuses on helping veterans and their families. Each year we try to raise funds to help in our efforts to accomplish these goals.
This year we are focusing on two of our many programs, Scholarships and Adopt-A-Child. With our scholarship program in the last three years we have helped 14 college bound students, (either veterans themselves or the dependents of a veteran) to attain their goal of attending college.
In the past two years our Adopt-A-Child program (this is a program where we adopt all the children in a needy family and help them with school supplies and clothing) has helped 6 families provide supplies and clothing for their children. This program not only allows children to have what they need to get an education but helps them feel better about themselves.
On June 11, 2005 we are planning our annual Golf Outing to raise funds to support these very important programs. In order to make this a success we need donations for door prizes. Your donation of any item of value, including gift certificates, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Also, we are seeking 18 or more hole sponsors. A hole sponsorship is $100.00. Each Hole Sponsor will have a sign bearing their name places on the tee of one of the holes, plus they will be recognized on our Sponsor Board. In addition to hole sponsors, we need cart sponsors. Cart sponsorship is $25.00 a cart. We are in need of sixty-four cart sponsors who will have their name placed on a cart and be recognized on our Sponsor Board.
