President John Erby passed away November 9, 2008 in his sleep. His funeral
was held November 14, 2008. John will be cremated and his ashes will be
interred at Arlington National Cemetary in Washington D.C. His family asked that any
donations in John's name be made to VVA #10, to Joseph House or to Military
Order of the Purple Heart. For more information please contact Chapter 10's

On June 7, 2008 Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter10 held its annual golf scramble at Hillview Golf Course, where 104 golfers teed off under cloudy skies that gave way to a sunny great playing day. Prizes for first place Schnieder group and second place, a tie Starsser and McClelland groups. Prizes for closest to the pin, David McClelland and Rick Holscher and longest drives, Tony Schnieder and Eric Fox along with door prizes from our sponsors were also given out.
Frank and Ed and the Chapter are very grateful for all the help received from the many volunteers. We would also like to thank Jack Sams for his loyal support over the years.
On September 15, 2006, Ed and Carolyn Brown from Chapter 10 attended the Cleveland vs Minnesota baseball game in Cleveland for they're POW/MIA night. Also in attendance were Tom Burke, Buckeye State Council President, Tim Espich, State of Ohio's Director of Veterans Affairs, Jack Devine, Vice President VVA National and Bill Homer, Staff advisor for Chapter 616, Mansfield Correctional. Bill also was one of the coordinators for this event. There was a "Moment of Silence" and three baseballs were placed on the mound to honor our POW/Mia's and all of those service personnel still not accounted for. Tom, Jack and Bill presented Maggie Escobar, Special Events staff person from the Cleveland Indians a certificate of appreciation. Click HERE for photos.
