    All Board meetings start at 1830 hrs. Board meetings are open to all members; please feel free to attend any meeting of Chapter 10. All membership meetings start at 1930 hrs. There is food served at all of our board and membership meetings.

    IT’S YOUR CHAPTER TOO! We are working on the 25th Anniversary program for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Eden Park. We need your help!!! We need you and your stories, pictures and etc. about this memorial.

    Just like 25 years ago we need your ideas and your help in making this event memorable for all of us, our families and friends.

    VETERANS DAY: Our annual Veterans Day ceremony at the Memorial in Eden Park will be held November 11, 2008 at 11 am.

    “WILD THING”: “Wild Thing” is one of the deuce-in-a-half’s that were modified to become what was known as a “gun truck”. One of our own, Joe Amann served on “Wild Thing” in Vietnam. The replica of “Wild Thing” was on display at our State Convention in June at Newark Ohio. Vietnam Veterans of Southwest Ohio Foundation donated $500 to help defray the cost of fuel to make the trip.     STATE CONVENTION: John Erby, Ed Brown and Frank Crist attended the Buckeye State Council convention in Newark, OH in June. State elections were held and Tom Burke was re-elected as our state president. Joe Amann was re-elected as our District 3 director.

    LEBANON CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION: Four of our members will be attending the Dedication Ceremony of the “LeCI Veterans Memorial” This memorial was constructed with funds that were raised by the incarcerated veterans and staff members of Lebanon Correctional Institution.

    WANTED! Wheelchairs and walkers are needed for our fellow Ukrainian veterans. Also needed are computers. If you have any of these items please drop them off at the chapter or if you need help getting them here, please call the chapter office. 513-761-8007

    UKRAINIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY: On August 24th Ed Brown joined in celebrating “UKRAINIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY” at Fembank Park. Ed got to renew friendships with people Chapter 10 had worked with the Ukrainian Veterans visited Cincinnati. The Ukrainian Veterans are working with our National office in finding the remains of many of our MIA’s in North Vietnam.

    Members Permanently Hospitalized: If you or anyone you know is a Vietnam Vet and is permanently hospitalized or in a nursing home please let us know at the chapter office. You may be eligible for a FREE life membership in VVA.
